The Major Bosshardt house is located in Amsterdam’s historic city center. The address is Oudezijds Voorburgwal 14, and the entrance is to the side of the building, Oudezijds Armsteeg 19. We are open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for tours from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. If discussed with us in advance, meetings and group tours may be possible on other days. The Major Bosshardt house can only be visited by appointment or with a tour guide.

Lunch and coffee
The lobby has a coffee corner. You can sit down here and enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea. Occasionally, we offer fresh cake.
You can also book a takeout lunch when booking a tour. The lunches are made by people who are distant from the labor market and reintegrating at 50|50 Food Amsterdam. This is why it is important you book well beforehand, at least ten days prior to your visit. If you decide you want to lunch with us last minute, you can call us and we can discuss the possibilities.
Accessibility
By car: You can park at the Bijenkorf garage, at the Dam, or in the Central Station garage.
Please note that the center of Amsterdam is a low emission zone. The municipality of Amsterdam does not allow certain older cars into the city center for environmental reasons.
By public transport: the Major Bosshardt house is a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Plan your journey by train at ns.nl. If you live in Amsterdam, you can take trams 4, 9, 16 or 24 to get to the Dam. It is a five-minute walk from there to the Oudezijds Armsteeg.
